Calculation of shear force and bond
Tools: Shear Reinforcement
To calculate shear force and bond
- Click
Shear Reinforcement (How).
Select half floors for analyses of shear force/bond is already selected automatically in the Analyses of shear force and bond context toolbar.
- Click a slab or select several slabs by enclosing them in a selection rectangle. If you have selected slabs of different size, these slabs are divided into groups of the same size. The program displays a message. Points 3 to 6 are the same for each group.
This is calculated according to DIN EN 1992-1-1:2011-01. The standard is visible on the title bars of the dialog boxes and saved with the element.
If an element for which a calculation of shear force and bond has already been undertaken is selected again, the standard saved for the element will be used for the repeat calculation. When you select
Restore basic settings, the program reads the standard from the factory configuration. As a result, the standard can differ from that you used before!
- The first dialog box shows all , modifiable panel parameters and calculated shear values.
Note: You can define different concrete grades for the precast element and the in-situ concrete. Allplan always uses the poorer concrete grade for calculating the shear force and bond in compliance with the regulations.
- Click OK to end your entries.
Notes:
- If the maximum inclination of the diagonal strut is exceeded, the program displays a message. You can continue with the limit value.
- If DIN EN 1992-1-1:2011-01 requires you to use the lattice girders as shear reinforcement, the program displays a message, indicating that they must cover the full height of the cross-section. This is not checked by the program!
- The second dialog box shows the proposed value for the maximum spacing of the basic girders. You can change this value, which results from the maximum offset of the basic girders or twice the minimum edge offset (assuming that the edge offset of the neighboring panel is the same) and which is included by the vRd,s basic girder and vRdi,s basic girder variables in calculations of the shear reinforcement and connecting reinforcement.
In addition, you can configure the program to consider the standard girders separately for the two sides. Furthermore, you can change the parameters of the secondary girders, such as the number of pieces, type, spacing and length.Notes:
- If shear reinforcement is required and the diagonals of the standard girders are less than 45°, the program automatically ignores the standard girders because this would lead to illegal results.
- By changing the inclination of the diagonal struts within the limits, you can control the maximum lateral force resistance and the shift and anchorage value of the secondary girders. Note, however, that increasing the inclination of the diagonal struts reduces the design values for the load capacity of the girders, resulting in more reinforcement.
- Click Cancel to change the parameters in the first dialog box or click OK to end your entries. The shear girders are placed.
