Configurations: Structural Precast Elements Element creation
Labeling of elements in Allplan drawings. You can define labels for the precast element and associative views.
"Label styles" tab
You can define a Label style for precast label in plan here as an alternative to labeling defined using the entries on the Mark no. line, Lines 1,2, Lines 3, 4 and Line 5 tabs. You can select a label style by specifying the path, file number and number of the entry.
Folder:
Specifies the path for the label style. You can choose between Default, Office and Project .
File / label style:
Specifies the numbers of the file and entry of the label style created at a scale of 1:1 in Allplan.
The entries for label styles defined on the Label tab are initially unassigned in the configurations. However, if you define a label style here, any newly created elements from this point onwards will be labeled with this style.
Note: Existing labeling using labels defined on the Mark no. line, Lines 1,2, Lines 3, 4 and Line 5 tabs will only then be labeled using the selected label style if the label was re-created as a result of modifications. Please note there is no automatic conversation of data intended here.
You can select a separate label style for each structural precast element (column, foundation, beam, and so on).
Given the label styles no longer have a mark number line like the element label defined by variables, which is colored in differently depending on the element state or in which additional text is stated, the Mark no. of the precast element and/or Element name attributes are now colored in or highlighted in color. References to illegal element states (such as -G-) appear in the Element name attribute.
In the case of structural precast elements for which the text anchor point can be defined in the dialog box, please note as well that the entire text is no longer aligned to the left, right or centrally, as is also the case with the fixed label. Instead, the min-max box of the respective label style must always be used and assigned accordingly.
'Mark no. line' + 'Line 1/1' + 'Line 1/2' + 'Line 1/3' + 'Lines 2,3' + 'Lines 4,5' tabs
You can specify the scope of the label for the precast element. You can make entries for the mark number line and five additional lines. The labels of the first line after the mark number can be defined separately for each component.
Pattern:
Entry of text to be used in label. Formatting characters are used as placeholders for variable values, such as dimensions, concrete grade, weight. The program replaces the formatting characters with the corresponding values. Enter the formatting characters as follows:
%s: for strings
%d: for integers
%f: for floating point numbers
You can also define how to output strings and numbers:
%10s: Returns at least 10 characters (with spaces).
%-10s: as shown, left-aligned.
When you enter a point (".") between "%" and the number, the resulting string is truncated to the number specified.
For example, entering %.4s changes the "1234567" string to "1234".
%3d: Returns at least 3 characters (with spaces).
%03d: as shown; however, zeros (for example, 002) are added.
%.3f: output of 3 decimal places.
%6.3f: output of a total of 6 characters (including decimal point) and 3 decimal places.
Example showing how to enter text
Note: The text in label for the precast element dimensions can also be written in American (imperial) units.
Variable:
Enter an arithmetical expression for each wildcard character. Use "," as a separator. Arithmetical expressions can be arithmetical operators, numbers, and variables.
Possible variables
"Views" tab
You can define the scope and position of the label for associative views of precast elements. This label may be selected or deactivated when creating or modifying an associative view/associative section.
To show or hide the labels, click Toggle in the View and Section Properties context toolbar. Use
Text preview to turn the labels *On* or *Off*.
Pattern:
Variable:
Entry of text and associated variable to be used in the label (analogous to definition of mark number line of precast elements).
Position of label for 2D views and sections:
Position of label for 3D views:
Select the position of the label. If you do not want to create a label for a view type, select None.
If you enter As entered, when you select this option and create a new associative view or section, the program places the label in the position defined on the View and Section Properties context toolbar using Toggle,
Text's anchor point.
If the associative view/associative section is also updated later on owing to a precast element update, the current configured text anchor point will be used again to create the label for this label position option.
Note: The program does not save the position of the label when you create an associative view or section.
"Text attributes" tab
Definition of text attributes for:
Mark number line
Text lines below mark number and
Text in associative views
Enter the required attributes in the form
H=..., B=..., W=..., F=..., S=..., C=...
. You can find information about the units in the overview of the available attributes. If you do not enter values, the program uses the default values.
For the Font, you can enter the font name (for example, F = Cooper Black) as an alternative to the font number (for example, F = 21). However, you must enter the full name of the font. Make sure you enter the name correctly.
