Brick/tile catalog for precast concrete elements

Catalogs for precast concrete elements

"General" tab

Created on:

Date of creation of data record.

Name:

You can enter any name. You can find this name in the Brick type list box on the General, Panel length/ girders, Panel widths, and Cross ribs tabs of the panel type catalogs of the concrete brick slab and suspended brick slab. You can also find this name in the Element placed list box on the Sample tab of the placement pattern catalog. In addition, this name is visible when you select a material in the Material Definition dialog box for brick slab design.

Description:

User-defined name that can be used for labels in element plans or lists.

Weight / Length / Width / Thickness or Height:

You can define the weight and dimensions for the brick type or tile selected. The grid dimensions for brick slab design are defined by the length of the slab tiles.

The following applies to the length and width of the tile:

Value a / Value b:

Value a and Value b are clearly explained in the schematic representation of the brick type. These values can only be defined for slab bricks.

Allowed to cut:

You can specify whether tiles can be cut and define the resulting Minimum length and Minimum width.

The program displays a warning if the element geometry results in cut tiles but the Allowed to cut option is not selected or the minimum width is not complied with. The program creates the tiles but marks the element as illegal.

Lifting Bolt Parameters:

You must define the Edge offset for calculating lifting bolts for wall bricks here, which is then analyzed upon creation of brick walls created using Design (iWall).

Use/brick type

You can specify whether to use the entry as a brick for slab bricks or wall bricks or as a tile for facing layers. When you select slab brick, you can choose between different types. The graphic shows the selected type:

"Production" tab

The program considers the following settings for tiles when creating production data and lists.

Surface fixture for wall brick/tile:

You can assign a surface fixture from the fixture catalog to the tile. This assignment is required if you want to transfer the tiles to production. Select a fixture in the list box.

Mark "smooth edge " for cut tiles:

If this option is selected, the Unitechnik file marks the uncut edges of the tile with the Smooth edge line attribute (bit 8), so that the program automatically places the tiles in the correct positions.

"Display" tab

Line representation

At this point you initially specify how it should be displayed in Allplan. The following options are available in the selection dialog box:

As defined in general settings: Uses the settings in the Properties palette - Format area.

Settings from donor component: Uses the settings of the component itself.

Custom definition: The settings set out here in Pen, Line and Color as well as Layer are used for the display.

With Pen, Line and Color as well as Layer you define the settings to display the edges of the bricks or tiles, or on which layer the bricks/tiles are shown. In addition, the program uses this color in animation and in Bimplus.

Clicking the button for the Layer opens the Select Layer dialog. Precisely one layer can be selected at this point. After confirmation of the dialog with OK the short name of the chosen layer is shown on the icon for the layer at that point.

When searching for a layer, the Select layer dialog contains the Find catalog entry icon. When in the dialog box Find catalog entry define the entry to be searched for using the search for field, then if required, select the exact search option if it is necessary to distinguish between lower and upper-case letters. Upon confirming the dialog, the defined search text is searched for from the marked row. In this case, the Full name column is searched first. If no entry is found here then the Short name column is searched, and if the desired entry is not found there, then the LayerNr. Column is searched as well.

If an appropriate entry is found then the corresponding row is highlighted. If the desired entry was not found, then select Find catalog entry once again. The last search text is still entered and you can confirm the dialog immediately. The next entry is highlighted. If no suitable entry is found in the three columns that are being searched, then the selection remains unchanged.

Surfaces or section display

Choose to apply Hatching, a Pattern, or a Fill to the brick or tile in plan view.

To select a surface element, select its check box, click in the box, and select the required type. To turn a surface element off, clear its check box. If all check boxes are cleared, the program does not display surface elements.

Note: You can select a Hatching style or a Pattern in addition to a Fill. In this case, the fill is the background color.

"->Fact." tab

Assignment of entries to factories.

The selected entry applies to the selected factories only. If no factory is selected, the entry applies to all factories.
