"Special Settings" dialog box

Using the Special Settings dialog box, where you can adjust the settings to the output device by entering control sequences for the printer or large-format printer.

Important!
To do this, you must be logged in as the administrator or as a user with administrator privileges.

General

Output channel

This field is for information only.

Line length

Default: No line feed.

250: A line feed control character is inserted after a maximum of 250 characters.

70: A line feed control character is inserted after a maximum of 70 characters.

Initialize device

You can change the initialization sequences sent to the output device before and after the print data. This entry is only available for Allplan vector drivers.

Startinit / Endinit

You can enter your own control sequence. Enter [13][10] to insert line breaks in the control character sequences. Make sure you use square brackets.

Control character sequences only become effective when you activate them.

Activate

Use this to define which device initialization sequences apply in which sequence. If you want to use your own control sequences at the beginning, we recommend using the CAD setting for the start initialization

The following section shows how to select paper rolls. In these examples, a HPGL2_DESIGNJET is used for the output device and the layout is printed out on a OCE printer or on a similar device.

Please ask the manufacturer of the large-format printer for the exact control character sequences.

Reset device

Copy original setting resets all settings to their defaults.

Shows the current device’s default settings. You can change some of these settings.
