Structural Starter Bars

Task area Precast Wall

You can use this tool to create and place reinforcement cages that are used as structural starter bars. The reinforcement cages are installed on site into the placed precast walls, turning the precast elements in a double wall into a rigid, structurally-capable component.

Click Structural Starter Bars (How). The following options are available:

Activate Structural Starter Bars in one of the following ways

• Actionbar:Role Precast Elements Task Precast Wall Task area Precast Wall

• Menu bar: Create Precast Elements Precast Wall

• Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

Precast Wall

Place Based on Geometric Outline

Place from File

Standard Joined Cages on/off

Visible/hidden switch for standard joined cages.

General Joined Cages on/off

Visible/hidden switch for general joined cages.

Label Stirrup Cages

You can use this tool to label stirrup cages subsequently.

To label stirrup cages subsequently

1. On the Structural Starter Bars Context toolbar, click Label Stirrup Cages.
2. Click the element you want to label.
3. The label is attached to the crosshairs. Place it in a suitable position in the workspace.

Delete Reinforcement Cage

You can use this tool to delete visible starter bar elements.
