Modify Parameters, Basic Reinforcement

Owing to the wide range of parameters available for the factory configurations, catalogs and the parameters defined by the user during element design or modification and owing to the current geometry of the element (outline or recesses), the program might not create all bars or lattice girders of the basic reinforcement and thus might not reinforce all parts of the element (for example, corners with acute angles, narrow webs between recesses or between recesses and the edges). The program does not check that all the bars and lattice girders are actually created.

That is why you need to spend some time thinking about how to handle nonrectangular element outlines and recesses. These considerations can be described as "engineering thinking". This is exactly the reason why the Precast Elements role requires some experience. In particular, do not create production data without checking the reinforcement beforehand.

To change the parameters or basic reinforcement of individual slab panels

1. Click Modify Parameters, Basic Reinforcement (How).
   

   Activate Modify Parameters, Basic Reinforcement in one of the following ways

   • Actionbar:Role Precast Elements Task Precast Slab Task area Precast Slab

   • Menu bar: Change Precast Elements Precast Slab

   • Palette: Tools Change area in the following module(s):

   Precast Slab

2. Click the required slab panel.

   Note: To open the Modify Parameters, Basic Reinforcement context toolbar, you can also double-click a slab panel or open the shortcut menu of a slab panel and select Properties.

3. Click Match parameters and then a different slab panel of the same type to copy its element parameters.
4. Click Delete Selected Elements to delete the selected slab panel.
5. Click the button to see various parameters for modification.
6. To modify the reinforcement parameters, click Reinforcement Parameters.
7. Depending on the type of the selected slab panel, you can make more modifications:
   • Click Change Formwork Attributes to open the Formwork attributes for panel edges dialog box.
   • Click Change Profiling to open the Section Parameters dialog box.
     When modifying a hollow core element or prestressed hollow core element, you can only change the joint section. You cannot shorten the section.
   • Use Amend parameters for mounting hooks and lifting bolts to open the Mounting hooks, lifting bolts dialog box.
   • Click Change Parameters for Filling Objects to open the Filling objects, spreader ribs dialog box.
8. Confirm your entries by clicking OK and the selected slab panel is modified.
9. Click the next slab panel you want to modify or close the tool by clicking Cancel.
