MWS Reinforcement Group

The dialog of the MWS Reinforcement Group was fully revised and enhanced. The revised palette then now displays, as before, the MWS Reinforcement Group area to enter the name, the number of the group and the number of pieces to be executed as well as the height of the longitudinal bar and the factory too.

Note: If bars belonging to another MWS reinforcement group are selected upon creation of a MWS reinforcement group, then an error message is shown. The notification shows you the other MWS reinforcement groups to which the bars have been allocated.

Based on the definition of the bars that should be summarized for the reinforcement group, the direction of the longitudinal bars and the basic segment, the number of elements assigned to the group is shown in the Group elements row in the MWS Reinforcement Group area. Furthermore, the two new Placements and Attributes areas were shown.

Within the new Placements area, the following are displayed for individual Placements of the MWS reinforcement group: the global mark number, the quantity, the diameter and the offset of the placement. Use the previous and following icons to scroll through the individual placements . The bars in the placement that has just been selected are shown in the selection preview color in all views and in the layout for ease of recognition. However, it is not possible to change the parameters in the palette.

Note: Please note you can also select several placements simultaneously here. Enter the number of the placements to be displayed, separating them with a comma (e.g. 1-5,9,12), then confirm the entry. All selected placements are now shown in the selection preview color.

You can now change or supplement the attribute definition of the component in the additional Attributes section. Click the relevant attribute and amend its current value, or when alongside Attributes click on Further Attributes. In the Modify Attributes dialog box, you can assign new attributes to the MWS Reinforcement Group or change the values of attributes assigned. This works just like the Modify Attributes tool.

Note: Click or Show read-only attributes to show or hide these attributes.

If you want to assign one or several new attributes to a MWS reinforcement group, click Assign new attribute to the right of Attributes. In the Attribute Selection dialog box, you can select one or more new attributes and assign them to the components selected. These additionally selected attributes are also exported in the IFC data.

Note: In the shortcut menu of an attribute, you can use Cut Ctrl+X , Copy Ctrl+C or Paste Ctrl+V to edit attributes.

In addition, the previous modification functions in the palette toolbox are removed. Instead, the functions Mesh Welding System Editor, Explode MWS Reinforcement Group(s), Add/remove bar to MWS Reinforcement Group, Modify basic segment of MWS Reinforcement Group and Modify direction of longitudinal bars in MWS Reinforcement Group can now be directly selected in the MWS Slab, MWS Wall and MWS task areas. As a result, various MWS reinforcement groups can be edited in succession until the relevant function is completed.

The five modification functions are also available in the MWS Reinforcement Group shortcut menu!

Note that with the exception of the Explode MWS Reinforcement Group(s) only one single reinforcement group can always be amended or shown in MWS Editor. If selecting several MWS reinforcement groups then a corresponding message is shown.

When entering a reinforcement group, the next free number is always automatically suggested in the input dialog for the reinforcement group. In this case, all MWS reinforcement groups on the actively loaded drawing file and also on all active drawing files in the background are taken into account and the next free number is suggested.

Note: You can overwrite the proposed, next available number by a number that has already been issued to another reinforcement group. When creating the production data or lists, a unique allocation is no longer possible and may result in error messages or warnings!

The labels of the MWS reinforcement group on the element plan and in the table on the element plan are also amended. The Name and Number of the group is always written down. Note that groups with identical numbers and names, but different placements, diameters etc, are now no longer issued with a suffix (e.g. 1 or 2 etc.). The Name and Number of the group is also always written down in this case.

You can still modify the MWS reinforcement group using the Properties palette. There is no in-house modification tool here. You can amend the names, the numbers and the number of pieces in MWS Reinforcement Group as well as part of the displayed values in the Attributes area.
