Design, connections

Tools: Design

You can use this to define the connections of the walls to each other along with the wall division for columns.

To define wall connections

  1. Go to the context toolbar and click Connections. This enables the tools for defining connections.
  2. Click Properties to define the connection options.
  3. Go to the input options and select whether you want to automatically form or manually select the connections and, where required, the wall divisions for columns for all of the selected walls.
  4. Select all of the required walls and columns under the Automatically form connections setting and right-click in the workspace or click OK to confirm.

The program applies standard connections to the selected walls in the current drawing file.

  5. If Place connections manually is set, the "search area" is visualized on the crosshairs. Select the walls and if necessary columns on the screen in such a way that there is a connection for the walls in question in the search area.

The context toolbar opens a text box that lists the applicable connection options for the selected walls.

  6. Change the connection option by clicking the Previous / Next Option arrow keys. The program changes the walls immediately.
  7. You can also click the Name of Connection button, thus opening a list where you can select a connection type.
  8. Right-click in the workspace or click OK to confirm your selection.

Note:
You can also place wall joints manually within this function. This can be used to alter the way the walls are automatically divided.

You can then define the divisions.
