User interface

The welcome screen combines tools that are frequently used when you start Allplan.

Creating, opening projects

New

Use this to create a new project.
You can find further information under Create New Project.

Open

Use this to open a project.
You can find further information under Select Current Project.

Copy

Use this to create a new project as a copy of an existing project. The contents, structure, and settings of the existing project will be copied to the new project.
You can find further information under Create New Project as Copy.

Recent projects

You can see the most recent projects that you have worked on.
Specify whether you want to open the project in design mode or in layout mode by clicking the required symbol. Double-click the project name to open the project in the last mode used.

Information, Hotinfo, Updates

Hello Allplan!

This opens the Hello Allplan! website. With Hello Allplan! you get a quick overview of the operating philosophy behind Allplan.

New Features in Allplan

This takes you to the Allplan website with information about the latest changes. As an alternative, you can select New Features in the Help drop-down list (right side of the title bar).

Hotinfo - Support Tool

Use this to generate a support request with Hotinfo. You can find further information under Hotinfo.

Updates - Settings

Use this to open the Allplan Update Settings dialog box. You can find further information under Allplan Update.

Internet

Allplan Connect

This takes you to the website of Allplan Connect, the service portal of Allplan.

Allplan Exchange

This takes you to the website of Allplan Exchange, the tool for distributing electronic documents over the internet.

Bimplus

This takes you to the Bimplus website, which is the openBIM platform developed by ALLPLAN GmbH for the interdisciplinary exchange of all building data.

Social media

This takes you to the Allplan areas in the most important social networks.

Border of the welcome screen

Show this window on startup

You can use this option to turn off the welcome screen on startup. In this case, the most recent project automatically opens when you start Allplan.

You can open the welcome screen at any time by clicking Welcome screen ( Help drop-down list on the right side of the title bar).

Information about Allplan

You can see information about the Allplan version, customer number, and seat.

You can obtain further information via Info Allplan ( Help, right-hand title bar).
