Tools: Modify Wall in View

You can use Concrete strips, corbels to create and delete concrete strips and corbels. After you have selected Esc, you can undo and redo the modifications without closing the main tool.

You can use the tools to modify either side of the wall. As the wall is visible in a view, you can use Side of design identifier and Side opposite design identifier to switch between the two wall sides. The selected tool applies to the current wall side.
Choose one of the following modification options:

Concrete strip

You can create concrete strips at edges of elements and openings.
These concrete strips created manually do not interact with the concrete strips created automatically during wall design. You can use the manual concrete strips as an alternative to the automatic feature.

Select this tool, click Parameters in the input options, define the Display parameters, and specify the Width and Depth of the concrete strip. Then enter a polyline along the edge of an element or opening.

When you select the According to general settings option, the program uses the settings in the Properties palette - Format area.

The Settings from component matched option uses the settings of the wall element.

The Custom definition option uses the settings you define in this dialog box.

The program applies the strip to the layer which is currently visible in the wall view and replaces the layer in this area by the depth entered. If the defined depth is greater than the layer, the concrete strip also replaces the following layer(s). If the defined depth is greater than the total wall thickness, the concrete strip protrudes beyond the wall (for the wall elements created by means of Design (iWall)).

Delete concrete strips

You can delete concrete strips you have created manually. You cannot use this tool to delete concrete strips created automatically during wall design.

Place Corbel

You can create corbels on the visible or invisible side of the wall element.

Select this tool, click Parameters in the input options, select a linear shaped fixture, and enter a polyline. Regardless of whether you enter the polyline clockwise or counterclockwise, the program always turns the shaped fixture so that it points out of the wall, forming a linear corbel.

Note: Make sure that the Interaction with precast element - Positive (merging) option is selected for the shaped fixture.

Delete corbels

You can delete corbels of the wall element.
