Allplan Diagnostics

You can use this tool (How) to check the settings and performance of the hardware and software in relation to Allplan. In addition, you can check the connections to Allplan Share and Allplan Workgroup. This tool is primarily designed for finding causes of and solutions to performance problems. For example, you can use this tool while you are engaged in dialog with Technical Support.

Common Drives

Lists the computer drives and their properties. By using the shortcut menu, you can open the relevant drive in Explorer.

Allplan Paths

Lists the Allplan drives and paths. By using the upper-right drop-down list, you can choose the Allplan version whose settings you want to display. Click Start Performance Test to test read/write speeds for these drives. Click explore on the shortcut menu to open the relevant drive in File Explorer. If Allplan cannot write to a drive because UAC is off and you do not have administrative rights, you can see no administrator rights. A legend helps you quickly assess the measured values.

Lists the Bimplus teams and projects on Allplan Share. You can see the list only when you are signed in to Bimplus.

Click Login to sign in directly from this tool.
Click Start Performance Test to test read/write speeds for Allplan Share.
Click Check Connection to check the connection to Allplan Share by means of Ping or Traceroute.
Click Open Portal to open the Bimplus portal in the browser.

The shortcut menu of a project provides the following options:

Click Browse project files on server to open Allplan Share Project Explorer. By using the shortcut menu, the project administrator can download files from Allplan Share or upload files to Allplan Share.
Click Browse project files in local cache to open the local copy of the Allplan Share project.
Click Delete local project cache to delete the local copy of the Allplan Share project.
Click Open project in portal to open the project in Bimplus.

Allplan Quality Manager

Returns highly professional messages when there are inconsistencies in the program, helping the Allplan development teams to get rid of these inconsistencies.

Settings

Lists various general settings. By using the upper-right drop-down list, you can choose the Allplan version whose settings you want to display.

Workgroup Settings

Lists settings for the workgroup manager (activation/deactivation of the workgroup manager, selection of the network path).

With workgroup manager you can activate the workgroup manager and switch from single user to workgroup. The workgroup manager can only be activated or deactivated if a UNC path has been selected with Browse... a UNC path has been selected.
Net Path
Use Browse... to select the desired network path. To activate the workgroup manager, a UNC path must be selected or entered here.
With Set you activate the changes. It depends on the use case whether data are taken over or only the path is changed. If all data is available under the target path, no further data is transferred.

Common Settings

Shows general settings (for example current country and language settings, last date of installation, current user).

Click More... to open a table that lists the country-specific STD and ETC folders installed. Missing indicates a country-specific STD folder without a corresponding ETC folder (or vice versa). The License column tells you whether the country is included in your license.
Click Open Registry (HKLM) to open Registry Editor. The HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE key is expanded for the Allplan version selected in the drop-down list.

User Settings

Use Open Registry (HKLM) to open the Registry Editor. The HHKEY_CURRENT_USER key is expanded for the Allplan version selected in the drop-down list.

License

Shows the countries included in your license.

Online server

Lists the available Workgroup Online servers.

User Management

Lists the users and the paths of the user folders. By using the shortcut menu, you can open the user folder in Explorer. You can see the user folder only for the Allplan version from which you started this tool. In this case, you can see ok in the Check column. If another version is selected in the upper-right drop-down list, you can see needs current version.
