You can use Locking Admin to assign lock statuses for precast elements, either with or without being connected to Status Admin.
The following definitions apply to these lock statuses:
All changes locked
This highest lock status can be set or removed at any time, regardless of any underlying lock statuses.
Changes in geometry locked / Update basic reinforcement automatically locked / …
These lock statuses are independent of each other. They can be assigned on an individual basis, but they do not have any control over the other lock statuses.
The lock statuses for Changes in geometry, Basic reinforcement, Basic & shear girders, Connecting elements and Support components mean that you can no longer amend the dimension (external dimensions) of the precast element. If you try to change the dimension for a corresponding element, an error message will be displayed in the same way as changes to the basic reinforcement, basic & shear girders as a result of changing the parameters in the dialog boxes.
Other less obvious examples of such changes include the following:
However, manual amendments can be made to the reinforcement or lattice girders if the Update basic reinforcement automatically locked or Auto-update basic girders and shear girders locked lock statuses are set.
The lock status for Support components is only effective for slab elements. Likewise, the lock status for Connecting elements is only effective for wall elements.
The dimension of the precast element can continue to be amended if the lock statuses for Lifting bolts and Cast-in nuts are set. If, however, one of these automatic fixtures is located outside the precast element or in an opening, it will be removed and you will be notified of this by message.
The lock statuses for the Cast-in nuts are only effective for wall elements.
Note: The corresponding fixture is not automatically created again if the lock status is cancelled. The mark is only created again and adjusted where required if the precast element is updated. If, as a result of geometric changes to the precast element dimension, one of these automatic fixtures is located in another precast element, it will be linked to form the new precast element. If the new precast element does not have the same lock status selected as the original precast element, the precast element in question will be removed when geometric changes are made once again.
Note: Hollow core element systems use lifting bolts whereby a defined hollow block area is also formed in concrete at the same time. If the lock status for Lifting bolts is selected, the concrete area will also be re-calculated each time these lifting bolts are changed (moved, copied or deleted).
