Reinforcement views only available to a restricted extent

Previously, there were two options for creating the general arrangement and reinforcement drawing. Of particular benefit for existing customers was the fact that they were able to work using the usual functions. However this was particularly confusing for new customers as there was no clear method. As stated previously, it is for this reason that the Reinforcement Views task area is no longer available for the general arrangement and reinforcement drawing. The functions in this task area can only still be used for the Element Plan and the Formwork elements of the role Precast Elements.

Although the way you work with the existing Views and Sections task area requires a little adjustment, virtually the same functionality remains in place. If you have only worked with the Reinforcement Views task area to date, you can start off by downloading step-by-step instructions contained in Steps to Successful Views and Sections from Allplan Connect, the service portal from Allplan.

Data conversion

If you load data or projects in Allplan 2023, elements created using the Reinforcement Views task area will be converted. As a result, the elements of the general arrangement views and reinforcement views are 2D design entities, texts and dimension lines. The format properties remain unchanged. Consequently, everything still looks the same in documents and layouts.

As the model data remain the same, although the existing linked layouts are no longer available, you can use the Views and Sections task area to create additional views and sections where required. The fully automated management of the number of pieces remains in place in any case.
