Quick installation guide

The following chapters provide detailed information and step-by-step instructions on installing Allplan 2023. If you want to perform the installation without this background information, here is a brief summary of the most important steps.

How to install Allplan 2023

• You have administrator rights for the relevant workstation or network
• You are a registered user of Allplan Connect.
• You have your product key at hand

1. Log in to Allplan Connect.
2. Download the installation package for Allplan 2023 and unpack its contents into a temporary folder (see "download and unzip installation package").
3. Run the AllplanSetup.exe file.
4. Follow the dialog box (see “New or first-time installation”).

   Note that you can customize the scope of the installation using the Options tab in the Settings dialog box.

5. Once installation is complete, please ensure that you enter the license key for your Allplan version (see "Licensing Allplan").

   To do this, start Services application 2023, go to the utilities tab and select select license settings and enter your product key.

   Note: As long as the product key for the Allplan installation in question has not been registered, Allplan can only be started as a viewer.

6. The following only applies if you wish to use the workgroup manager in network operation:
   You can activate the workgroup manager in Allplan diagnostics on the settings tab. Then set up your workgroup via the workgroup manager menu (in services application) (see “selecting and setting up the workgroup manager”).
