Performing update installation
You can configure Allplan to automatically download and install updates (hotfixes and service releases).
For network operation with Workgroup Manager, you as Allplan administrator can block the download of updates for normal users of the workgroup. But the administrator can distribute updates to all the computers within the workgroup, thus allowing the users to install them. This ensures that all members of the workgroup always have the same version of Allplan.
Notes
- An antivirus program or firewall software installed on your computer may prevent update packages from being downloaded or installed. Configure these programs so that they do not block these operations.
- If your computer is connected to the Internet via a proxy server, files may be cached that are important for performing the automatic update. This can then lead to these files not being found in the latest version when downloading, and therefore the automatic update not working. To prevent this, you must exclude the website (from which automatic updates are downloaded) from buffering. You can find the address of this website in the \Etc\AutoUpdate.cfg file.
