“Element plan” configuration entry

Configurations: Program Sequence

"General" tab

Selection with:

Specify whether you select the element by entering the Mark number or Precast-ID when the Select with ... option is selected in Edit Element, Element Plan, and Transfer Element Plan.

Only one sheet, file for identical mark numbers:

This setting defines how many sheets and export files will be created when you select Element Plan in Batch Run. In addition, this setting affects the performance when you export element plans of identical precast elements to TIM.

Selected: The program prints only the existing element plan for each group of identical precast elements. In other words, there might be fewer element plans than existing precast elements altogether. When exporting the files (Data output in the dialog box of Element Plan in Batch Run), the program also creates only one file for each group of identical precast elements.
For such element plans, use the Number of precast elements and Precast-IDs (same mark no.) attributes in the Precast elements, element-specific group for the label styles of the title block. It does not make sense to use the Precast-ID attribute for the title block because this attribute always refers to the precast element for which the common element plan was defined.
When exporting element plans of identical precast elements to TIM, the program prepares the element plan just once, copying it for all other elements with the same mark number as a *.pdf file or *.hpgl file.

Not selected: The program print or exports the existing element plan for each precast element in the group. In other words, the program prints or exports the existing element multiple times. Whereas it is not possible to differentiate based on the Precast-ID attribute in the title block of the element plans because this attribute always refers to the precast element for which the common element plan was defined, the additional component ID produces different file names for the export. However, the contents of the files are always the same.
When exporting element plans of identical precast elements to TIM, the program generates a new element plan for each precast element This is important when you work with BIM Booster and the title block of the element plan contains specific attributes of the precast element (for example, the precast ID). Before creating a single element plan, the program synchronizes the attributes of the detailed precast element with those of the model precast element, making sure the element plan includes the correct, specific attributes.

One PDF file for multipage element plans:

This setting defines how many PDF files will be created when you select Element Plan in Batch Run or export TIM data. This setting applies only to multipage element plans.

Selected: The program creates a single PDF file with several pages, including the page with the 3D-PDF, for a multipage element plan.

Not selected: The program creates a separate PDF file, including the page with the 3D-PDF, for each page of a multipage element plan. The PDF files created in this manner get consecutive numbers when you have configured the export file name accordingly.

Auto-reorganize local mark numbers:

Selected: When the Manual option is selected for the Local mark numbers parameter of the precast element in the configuration of the Element type (Design - Element plan), PLANBAR reorganizes the local mark numbers for the elements for Element Plan in Batch Run and Export TIM Data.

Note: This is the same as if you selected the Reorganize local mark numbers option for Update Element Plan before printing the element plan or transferring the elements to TIM.

“Export files” tab

Output path for DXF/DWG/PDF/HPGL export files or BVBS files:

The program writes the data for the export files to the folder or drive and the Subfolder specified. For example, enter C:\..... You can specify any path, including network paths. If the folder does not exist, the program creates it.

When you specify the output path for the export files here, you cannot select a folder in the settings of the Element Plan in Batch Run tool.
If you want to select the folder there, leave this field blank.

Subfolder:

Enter the subfolder of the output path specified or configure the subfolder by clicking . This opens the Formula editor dialog box, where you can select attributes, define fixed texts, and use functions and operators. You can use only project-specific attributes (for example, including the attributes of the building structure).

Do not precede the subfolders with backslashes. The program automatically adds a missing backslash at the end of the Output path for ... export files.

By analyzing the name specified, the program creates the folders dynamically. The program does not analyze the name in the settings in the catalog and in the dialog box of Element Plan in Batch Run. Consequently, you can see only the attribute numbers selected.
