COLLADA is an XML-based, open format for exchanging data between different 3D programs. The DAE format is available in the versions 1.4.1 and 1.5.0 for exporting data to COLLADA 1.4 and 1.5.

Special features when exporting to COLLADA:

Before saving the file, you can define how the data are to be transferred in the COLLADA Export Settings dialog box.
