Notes on assigning keyboard shortcuts
- You can use the Tab and Backspace keys only in combination with the Ctrl, Alt or Shift key.
- Ctrl, Alt or Shift can only be used in combination with other keys.
- The Print screen and F12 keys and the Ctrl+Esc, Alt+Esc, Alt+Tab, Ctrl+Tab, Ctrl+Numlock keyboard shortcuts cannot be used.
- When you define a keyboard shortcut, you can also find this keyboard shortcut in the ToolTip that appears when you hover over an icon.
- Assigning keyboard shortcuts by means of the Customize User Interface... tool (drop-down list of the Quick Access Toolbar): When you assign keyboard shortcuts to tools on the Create, Create II and Change toolbars, these keyboard shortcuts apply only to the module in which you assign them.
- Assigning keyboard shortcuts by means of the
Shortcuts tool (
Default Settings drop-down list on the Quick Access Toolbar): You can assign keyboard shortcuts to the tools, which are sorted by task areas on the Actionbar. You can find general tools without icons or tools that do not belong to a task area in the More tools or More tools without icons group. - When you click Shortcut Keys.... on the ? menu, you can display and print a list of keyboard shortcuts.
- If you have defined a keyboard shortcut in the operating system (for example, Ctrl+Alt+W to start Word), this keyboard shortcut has priority over the keyboard shortcuts defined in Allplan.
