General
In addition to the sheet name under Name, you can also specify whether the corresponding sheet is to be used as a 3D PDF page.
Use page for 3D PDF:
No: The sheet is a normal sheet in the element plan.
Yes: The sheet is defined as a 3D PDF page.
If this option is selected, this page can be viewed directly at a later stage when using Element plan and selecting the
Display in 3D button. Alternatively, a 3D page can be created in PDF format for this element plan page when performing a PDF export from
Element plan in batch run or
exporting TIM data.
Front view:
You must choose one of the available views of the sheet here. The defined names for the defined individual views are displayed here.
This front view has the following function,
Background color:
Here you can select the background color for the 3D PDF page from the Allplan default color file.
iTrigger
If no iTrigger is set, the corresponding sheet will always be created. In all other instances, the condition set for the respective precast element will be analyzed when creating the element plan. A decision will then be taken as to whether the sheet is to be created or not, based on the latest data for the precast element.
Please note the way the layout looks in the Layout Catalog will no longer correspond to the finished element plan if several lines are on top of each other or if individual cells are removed or created based on the specified conditions.
Note: If several cells are on top of each other in the same place (e.g. different plan headers for different conditions), you must select the respective cell that is the easiest option in the tree structure.
The final element plan may have fewer pages than there are in the Layout Catalog as a result of iTrigger. The actual pages generated are always displayed and numbered in the element plan window.
Note: Should the conditions for creating the latest element plan layout change later on (e.g. changes in height or changes in the number of fixtures, and so on), no more automatic adjustments will be made to the layout. The element plan must then be generated again, where required, using Create new element plan.
iTrigger
You can select one of the conditions defined under iTrigger in the General area.
Border size
The Border size defines the area available for the element plan. You can define the border size yourself or you can have the program calculate the border size automatically. The workspace in the overview window depends on the layout border selected. You can see the dimensions of the workspace. The dimensions of the border size are given in parentheses.
Border size:
Fixed: The program uses the border size defined in Selection. You cannot change the size using Modify Element Plan.
Automatic selection: The program uses one of the border sizes defined in Selection. It chooses the size that works best with the scale specified. making sure that the drawing and the other layout elements do not overlap.
Selection:
You define the border size by selecting the Format and Orientation.
If you have selected Automatic selection for the border size, the Selection area shows the number of the current border size and the total number of border sizes defined. and
take you from border size to border size. You can change each border size.
Click to open a dialog box where you can
define more border sizes or
delete border sizes.
Format: Select the required format. The list box includes all the formats of the Layout Border tool in the Layout Editor task area. The administrator or a user with administrator privileges can use this tool to create new formats.
Enter the formats in ascending size (e.g. A3, A2. A1, A0) if you have selected the Automatic selection option for the border size. The program will then take the first defined sheet and check whether there is space for the element plan to fit on it. If collisions arise as a result, the next largest sheet will be checked, and so on. If, however, the formats are entered in descending size (e.g. A0, A1, A2, A3), the largest sheet would always be taken and no further checks would be made, even if there may possibly be a better fit in the list.
Note: If you delete one of the formats used in the Layout Catalog in the Layout Border function of the Layout Editor task area, or if you use
Import layouts or
Import layout from a single file to import a layout that contains a format not available in the
Layout Border function of the Layout Editor task area, the corresponding format will be highlighted
inactive. If layouts are imported with defective formats, the format in question will be highlighted with an
error symbol.
Orientation: Define the orientation of the format. You can choose between Portrait and
Landscape.
Frame
Use frame:
Yes: The dialog box for selecting a border type and the settings for the border pen and line type are enabled.
No: The dialog box for selecting a border type and the settings for the border pen and line type are not displayed. Only a border in construction-line format is then labeled. This option is useful, for example, when creating an element plan for a 3D PDF.
Border type:
Select the required border type. The list box includes all the border types of the Layout Border tool in the Layout Editor task area. The administrator or a user with administrator privileges can use this tool to create new border types.
Note: If you delete one of the border types used in the Layout Catalog in the Layout Border function of the Layout Editor task area, or if you use
Import layouts or
Import layout from a single file to import a layout that contains a border type not available in the
Layout Border function of the Layout Editor task area, the corresponding border type will be highlighted
inactive. If layouts are imported with defective border types, the border type in question will be highlighted with an
error symbol.
Border pen and line type:
Select the format properties (Pen thickness, Line type and Color) for the outer border (Outer), for the inner border (Inner) and for other lines (fold marks and text, Miscellaneous). You can exclude a setting by clearing the corresponding Use check box.
Scale
For a specified fixed border size, you can have the program calculate the scale automatically or you can enter a fixed scale. If the program selects the border size automatically, you must define a fixed scale.
In the Modify Element Plan dialog box, you can change the way the program selects the scale. You can also change the value of the scale.
Scale / Maximum size:
The program creates the element plan at the scale that gets the most out of the workspace. This, however, often leads to scales that are not commonly used in the building industry.
Scale / Automatic selection:
The program can choose from these scales. It uses the largest possible scale.
Scale / Fixed:
The program always uses this fixed scale for creating element plans.
Scale / Current:
When creating the elements plan, the program displays the scale as if the Fixed option was selected for the layout of the element plan. However, the program always uses the current reference scale. Changing the scale has no effect.
But you can change the scale when you modify the element plan using Modify Element Plan.
Include max. number of dimension lines:
When you select this check box, the program calculates the space required for views and sections and the distance between the views and sections as if there were as many horizontal dimension lines and vertical dimension lines as possible to the left of, to the right of, above and below each view and section.
As a result, the views and sections are farther away from one another. This is particularly useful if you want to add fixtures later because the dimension lines of the fixtures do not overlap the dimension lines or geometry of neighboring views and sections.
