Name:

User-defined name that is visible when creating the hollow block in the list box to select the type.

Description:

User-defined name that can be used in lists.

Number:

Number of hollow blocks for the current area. Ensure you enter at least enough hollow blocks here so that your maximum element length can be filled with hollow blocks.

The entry options for the subsequent offset and end offset depend on the value entered in this box (1 or > 1).

Note: Where the value for Number= 0, this means you cannot select any other entries in the line.

Type:

Selection dialog box to select a linear shaped fixture. The fixture path (Office, Project, Private, Manufacturer Catalog or Article Catalog) is set here first of all, then the required fixture is selected.

Note: Linear shaped fixtures with negative interaction must be defined for the hollow blocks to be selected.

First offset:

The edge offset to the first hollow block (line 1) or the offset between the various hollow blocks (line 2 and 3) is defined here.

Subsequent offset:

You can always make entries for the subsequent offset if a value > 1 is entered in the Number column.

End offset:

Entries are only possible here if the value 1 is entered in the Number column.

Note: This entry defines the offset from the end of the respective hollow block to the end of the element in the case of filler elements where just one hollow block is defined. If more than 1 hollow block is possible, no entry is required as the offset can be calculated here.

Apply edge offset symmetrically

Yes: When you use this setting (= default setting), the first hollow block with mirrored first offset is created once again at the end of the element. This results in a larger (incidental) offset in between the last internal hollow block and the hollow block on the edge.

Note: Please note for this option the hollow block on the edge will have higher priority and must always be created first of all. It is only if both hollow blocks are located on the edge that the program will distribute other hollow blocks into the center of the element.

No: For this option, the hollow blocks are generally always distributed outwards from the start of the element. The offset between the last internal hollow block and the hollow block on the edge is specified here. This means therefore that there is always an incidental offset between the last hollow block and the edge of the element.
