C4D format (R19), general information

Tools: Send to Cinema 4D

We recommend the CINEMA 4D R19 C4D format for exchanging data with the current versions of CINEMA 4D.

Special features when exporting to CINEMA 4D:

• Before saving the file, you can define how to transfer the data in the CINEMA 4D Export Settings dialog box.
• Door swings remain unchanged.
  The door swing will be placed in accordance with the definition in the smart symbol.
• Room names remain unchanged.
  So that you find your way around the CINEMA 4D model, room names will be transferred.
• Only materials that are in use will be exported.
  Only the materials that are used by Allplan will be exported; this speeds up export.

Updating the changed geometry in CINEMA 4D

In CINEMA 4D, you can add C4D files (Merge File on the File menu) from Allplan to update the geometry without changing the materials and lights that you refined in CINEMA 4D.
