When you export Allplan data by using
Export IFC Data, you have various options to control how to assign and transfer objects and attributes.
Since Allplan 2020 and the current IFC interface, you have been able to create and edit user-defined configuration files in a separate editor, save these files in any folder, and select the files saved. To do this, use the IFC Export, Import Settings dialog box - Exchange profiles tab - Attribute assignment area.
In addition, you can define a configuration file for the office standard. So that Allplan finds the configuration files in the office standard, these files must be directly in the STD\ folder of the Allplan installation. In addition, these files must have the following names:
Standard_PropertyMap_Allplan_TO_Ifc.cfg (for export)
Standard_PropertyMap_Ifc_TO_Allplan.cfg (for import)
Configuration files from earlier versions
When you already created user-defined configuration files for assigning and transferring objects and attributes in earlier Allplan versions, you can still use these files and load them - like new configuration files - in the Attribute assignment area in the IFC Export, Import Settings. Depending on the Allplan version in which the configuration files were created, they must meet the following conditions:
Header for Allplan-> IFC mapping:
@AttributeMappings
@Direction Allplan->IFC
@Version 2.0
Header for IFC -> Allplan mapping:
@AttributeMappings
@Direction IFC->Allplan
@Version 2.0
This header information is required by Allplan 2020 and later. If your own configuration files do not include this header information, you cannot use the files anymore.
Priorities of attribute assignments
You can find background information about attribute assignment in the “Attribute mapping” section of the Allplan BIM Compendium, which you can download as a PDF file from the Allplan Home Page - "Learning" area.
