Save Contents of Viewport as a Bitmap

You can use this tool to save the contents of the current viewport as a bitmap image. All common bitmap formats are available.

To save the contents of the viewport as a bitmap image

1. Click Save Contents of Viewport as a Bitmap (How).
   

   Activate Save Contents of Viewport as a Bitmap in one of the following ways:

   • Menu bar: File

   • Keyboard: SHIFT + CTRL + S

   • Shortcut menu: Navigation Mode selected - Right mouse button - Save Contents of Viewport as a Bitmap

   • Title bar: Quick Access Toolbar Edit

   If the RTRender view type is active in the current viewport:
   Go to step 4.

   Or:

   If the RTRender view type is not active in the current viewport:
   The Save contents of viewport as a bitmap dialog box opens; go to step 2.

2. In order to set the size of the bitmap file, you can choose between Resolution and extents, Size in pixels (width and height) and Size as a percentage of screen size. The value in the Memory size box shows the actual file size.
3. Click OK to confirm.
4. Specify the file name, path and format of the bitmap image in the Save as dialog box.

   Note: When you save the bitmap image in TIFF format, a GeoTIFF file will be created automatically. The coordinates required for georeferencing are automatically taken from Allplan and saved as metadata.

5. Click Save.

   Tip: If the RTRender view type is active in the current viewport, do not save the bitmap until you are satisfied with the rendered image.
