For the new exchange profile IFC4 reference view and the planned certification, various adjustments and additions were made in Allplan.
IFC attributes for nodes in the building structure
You can now assign attributes to all nodes in the building structure (such as buildings), e.g. for evaluating addresses:
These attributes will be included when you export IFC data.
3D objects with IFC object type by default
Certain 3D objects are now created with the IFC object type attribute by default and are assigned an undefined attribute value.
Further IFC object types
For the new exchange profile IFC4 reference view and the planned certification, various adjustments and additions were made in Allplan.
Length of entire wall
According to IFC documentation, the length of an IfcWall type wall (polygonal or varying thickness) should be the entire nominal length of the wall along the center line of the wall, even if it is differs from the wall path. The following changes result for the IFC export of a complete wall:
IfcMaterialLayerSet
The ‘IfcMaterialLayerSet’ can now be assigned to parts and directly given a name; now the 'reference' attribute is used for it. The way of assigning the 'codetext' attribute to a part or the first layer of a part is no longer necessary.
IfcType for window and door SmartParts
You can now assign the IfcType in the settings tab when creating window SmartParts as well as
door or gate SmartParts. If you select the default option, the detected IfcType will be automatically selected and displayed. The user-defined option allows you to select and assign the desired IfcType.
Geometry attributes of columns
To comply with the IFC standard, the geometry attributes of columns are renamed during IFC export:
