SketchUp Import, OBJ Import

In Allplan you can assign only one material to an object. If a SKP or OBJ file contains an object to which several materials or surfaces are assigned, then this object is split into several objects during import depending on the material; sub-objects with the same material are combined again. This will display the object correctly in Allplan.

Among others, the following material properties are adopted: Color, texture with color channels, and transparency.

The 3D model is placed on the document with the coordinates defined during creation.
Surfaces and textures are saved in the project under \design\SKP-Import\model name or \design\OBJ-Import\model name. If identical surfaces are found, you will receive a message. You can replace or keep the existing surfaces.
