More variety in steel construction with Allplan

Based on the structural framing objects, bolted and welded steel joints have been newly developed for Allplan 2022. To accommodate the enormous variety, the structural steel joints are based on basic elements, e.g. for sheet metal, stems, bolts or welds. These are available in the new connection tools, but can also be combined into connections by Python scripts. The scripts are accessible to all users and can be adapted, extended or even completely redefined for other steel joints.

In addition, the axis grid on which many steel structures are based has been further improved in terms of representation and labeling. Standard or country-specific material catalogs can be downloaded via Bimplus and linked to components. In the case of structural framing objects, the brace type has been added. You can also position the objects automatically, even across different drawing files and when using the Allplan Workgroup Manager or Allplan Share.
