Using data from the “New” folder
Resources that you can modify in Allplan (i.e. data from the office standard such as hatchings, patterns or fonts) are not overwritten during an update or upgrade. So that you can still use the new resources if necessary, they are installed in the ...\New folder. From there you can apply them to your office standard or to a project.

To determine the location of the “New” folder
- In Services application, in the Service menu, click Hotline Tools.
- Double-click showcfg: Shows system variables.
In the Services application application window the path where the folder ...\New is located is displayed at DATPATH.
To transfer the data from the
...\New folder
to a project or the office standard
To copy data from the “New” folder to a project or to the office standard
- Start Allplan.
- In the title bar of the Allplan application window, click the
Allplan icon and then click
ProjectPilot. - Set the external path to the ...\New folder.
To do this, right-click External Path in the Projects and Folders window, click Select External Path on the shortcut menu, and set the path to the ..\New folder in the Find Folder dialog box.
For certain data you have to select a subfolder, e.g. Font for fonts or Test plot for the drawing files and layouts of the test data.
