Some notes on the data structure

When installing Allplan 2022 new or for the first time, think carefully about the folders into which you want to install it. In essence, we recommend choosing two different folders for the program files and the project data. This is also the only way to obtain a clean division into backup-relevant and non-backup-relevant data.

By default, Allplan 2022 will be installed to the following folders:

• Program folder: C:\Program Files\Allplan\
• Central file storage folder: C:\Data\Allplan\
  
  In the case of a network installation, the central file storage folder or the drive on which this folder is located must be shared with all computers on which Allplan 2022 is to be installed. If network operation with Workgroup Manager is planned, then this also applies if the central file storage is located on a workstation which is to be installed.
• Local file storage folder: C:\Users\<windows username>\Documents\Nemetschek\Share\
