3D circle perpendicular to edge or curve

Tool(s): 3D Circle

To draw a 3D circle that is centered on and perpendicular to an edge or curve

  1. Click 3D Circle (How).

    Tip: Click Back to undo as many steps as you want.

  2. Select Circle based on center on edge or curve in the Input Options.
  3. Select the edge or curve for the center.

    A preview of the circle is attached to the crosshairs.

  4. Define the center of the circle on the edge or curve.
  5. Enter the radius of the circle.
  6. Enter the start and end points of the arc or the starting angle and delta angle of the arc. To draw a full circle, press ESC.

    Allplan draws the arc in the center so that the arc is perpendicular to the edge or curve.
