Settings in CINEMA 4D for XML files (not recommended)

Note: You can still import XML files for CINEMA 4D R9.5 and later as a file type and by drag-and-drop editing. However, this procedure is obsolete; we do not recommend it. You can import only data that you exported from CINEMA 4D by selecting the File menu - Export - Allplan (XML) in CINEMA 4D.

To prepare CINEMA 4D for exporting XML files to Allplan

1. Open the Edit menu and click Preferences.
2. Select Import/Export - Allplan (*.xml) Export.
3. Make the following settings:
   • Switch the Factor to 1 (millimeters).
   • Select the Optimize check box and switch the Tolerance to 0.01.
   • Select the Change degenerate polygons, Small format, and Create info file check boxes.
4. Confirm the settings.
