Task area Structural Framing Objects
You can use this tool to create perpendicular structural framing columns with different cross-sectional shapes: rectangular, round, or any profile from the library.
Note: Whether this tool is available to you depends on the Allplan license installed at this workstation.
To create perpendicular structural framing columns
A preview of the column is attached to the crosshairs while you are making settings in the Structural framing column palette.
The height of the column is based on the settings in the Height dialog box. The z-coordinate of the drop-in point will be ignored.
To modify the parameters of structural framing columns
The Structural framing column palette opens.
If you have selected several columns for modification, you can neither save the parameters by using Save as a favorite nor assign attributes on the Attributes tab. Different parameters are not visible. If there are different settings, the check boxes of the varying parameters are filled; you can see the entry *varied*. If there are different settings for the top and bottom levels, you can see a general, gray symbol. If there are different reference points or shapes of cross-sections, no button is selected.
Any changes that you make in the palette are immediately visible in the workspace. When you change the reference point itself or the distances defined for the reference point, the column moves accordingly. The position of the anchor point does not change.
