Modify attributes

Surface object, parameters and attributes + Line object, parameters and attributes + Modify Attributes + Transfer Attributes

You can use the Modify Attributes dialog box to assign attributes and attribute values to objects or to modify these attributes and attribute values.

You have the following options:

• Buttons in the top border of the dialog box:
  Expand selected entries
  Use this button to expand the visible attributes. You can see all attributes of the selected node. If you have not selected anything, you can see all attributes.
  Collapse all entries
  Use this button to collapse the visible attributes. You can see only the top levels and nodes of the hierarchy.
  
  Show, hide fixed geometric attributes
  Use this button to hide the geometric attributes, such as length, width, height, area.
  Show, hide Allplan default attributes
  Use this button to hide the unchangeable Allplan default attributes, such as code text, room enclosure, texts 1-5.
  
  Assign new attribute
  Remove attribute
  

  • Right-click anywhere in the column in the middle (attribute type). The shortcut menu opens. Click Remove attribute.

    Or

  • Click Remove attribute at top right.

    The recycle bin symbol appears in the attribute line in which you have selected Remove attribute.

  Note: If you want to undo this process, right-click the line again and select Back 'Remove attribute' on the shortcut menu. You can also choose Remove attribute at top right.
  The program removes the attribute as soon as you click OK.

• Left column:
  Use the check box to define which attribute you want to assign, transfer, or include in the label. Only available for the Label, Transfer Attributes, and Assign Attributes tools
• Middle column:
  You can see the attribute type and its format (as a symbol).
  Right-click in this column to open a shortcut menu, where you can choose between Assign new attribute, Remove attribute (Del key), and Back 'Remove attribute' (Del key again).
• Right column:
  Enter the attribute value. Allplan then analyzes the value based on the attribute type.

Note: You can use Save as a favorite to save the attributes and Load favorite to read the attributes back into the dialog box. So, you can save all attribute assignments as favorites and retrieve (and adjust) them whenever you need.
