Place in custom polygon

Tool(s): Special Placements

This method is only possible for bars created in Reinforce with 3D model mode, as Allplan requires the position of the bars in space to create the placement. Requirements: two bars placed as single bars at the start and end of the placement. The bars must have the same diameter and similar geometric shapes. Furthermore, the marks must be two different ones that have not been placed elsewhere.

To place bars polygonally in components that can be modified linearly in 3D space

1. Click Special Placements (How).
   

   Activate Special Placements in one of the following ways

   • Actionbar:Role Engineering Task Reinforcement Task area Bar reinforcement

   • Menu bar: Create Engineering Bar Reinforcement

   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

   Bar Reinforcement

2. Select the mark you want to place by clicking one of the bars placed as single bars. Alternatively, enter the mark number in the dialog line.
3. Set the placing mode to Place in Custom Polygon and click OK to confirm.
4. Select the second bar for the placement by clicking the second bar placed as a single bar. Alternatively, enter the mark number in the dialog line.
5. Select the number of bars you want to place.
6. Click OK to confirm the settings. Allplan creates the placement, deleting the two initial bars and assigning a new mark number to the bars created.
7. Use Dimension Line, Label to dimension and label the placement later.
