Tools: Window SmartPart

You can define settings for the window elements on the Elements tab of the Window SmartPart. To select the elements, you can click them in the preview or click the corresponding icon.

The preview displays the frame, which serves as the basis for modeling the Window SmartPart.

Note: When you point to the lower edge of the preview, the cursor turns into a double-headed arrow. so that you can change the size of the preview.

Preview

You can see a graphic of the SmartPart. The preview changes in accordance with the selected SmartPart element. When you have selected an element of the SmartPart, this element appears in the selection color in the preview. Click a SmartPart element in the preview to select this element. So you can quickly go to the element that you want to edit.

You can use the mouse to change the screen section in the same way as in normal viewports:
Zoom in and out: Use the wheel.
Zoom all: Double-click the middle mouse button.
Pan: Select and hold the middle mouse button; then move the mouse.
Zoom section: Use the right mouse button to specify the section.

The drop-down list contains all elements of the SmartPart. Click an element to select this element and to display its parameters in the palette. In addition, Allplan highlights the selected element in the preview.

Delete current element: You can delete the current element.

Reset to first element: You can reset all changes you have made to the Elements tab, thus restoring the default settings.

Note: The contents of the Elements tab change with the Element you select. Click the element types for more information.

Note: When you slowly move the cursor horizontally across the parameters, the cursor changes to a double-headed arrow as soon as you reach the area between the parameter names and the boxes. You can now change the width of this area.

Note: When you place or select a SmartPart, an arrow appears in the middle of the SmartPart, indicating the outside of the SmartPart. Depending on the position of the SmartPart within the opening, you can see another symbol, indicating that the SmartPart was mirrored when it was placed. You can set the size and color of these symbols using the Size of CursorTips for snap points and Color of CursorTips options you can find in the Options (How) - Point snap page - Point snap representation area.
