Parameters for orthogonal axis grids

Tool(s): 2D Axis Grid + Modify Axis Grid

Using this dialog box, you can define parameters for the x-direction and y-direction separately.

Label

You can define the parameters for the label of the axis grid here. For example, you can define the text size, text angle and format for numbering. The settings apply to the axis direction currently selected, that is, the active tab.

Display parameters

You can set parameters for the grid lines in the axis grid here. The settings apply to the region currently selected. You can define different display parameters (pen, line and color) for each region or use the automatic feature near the bottom of the dialog box to use the same pen, line and color settings for all regions.

General parameters

Enter the number of regions for the axis direction in question and a value by which grid lines may overlap the actual grid itself.

Automation

When this check box is selected, all the regions in the grid are drawn with the same pen, line and color. Click Match X (or Y) label to use the label defined for the other axis direction. Click Generate regions based on offsets to enter the spacing between the grid lines in a dialog box. The system will generate the regions automatically.
