Entire folders

You can use Entire folders to back up folders with their subfolders. You can select folders containing data for Allplan or any other folder.

Below is a list of available options:

Office standard

Backs up all data in the office default folder. This folder contains data that apply to the entire office (e.g. fonts, symbols, etc.).

Projects

Select one or more named projects you want to back up.

Private settings

This is the folder that is available to the local user or to the user name if you are working with Workgroup Manager. name is the name the user enters to log on to Workgroup Manager.

The private folder of the local user is always on the local computer and its path is ...\Users\Windows_user_name\Documents\Nemetschek\Allplan\2021\Usr\Local.
The folder of an Allplan user in a workgroup environment is usually in the central file storage folder in ...\Usr\name\.

The private folder contains the two subfolders i_o and prj, which you can also back up separately.

Choose one of the following settings

Full
Backs up the entire folder including all data and subfolders.
User local or name
Backs up all user-based default settings. This includes the data in this folder but without its subfolders.
Exchange
Backs up all files intended for backup. This is the ...\Users\Windows_user_name\Documents\Nemetschek\Allplan\2021\Usr\Local\i_o folder. In a workgroup environment you can find this folder in the central file storage folder in ...\Usr\name\i_o.
Project
Refers to the "private project", that is, the project without a name. This is the ...\Users\Windows_user_name\Documents\Nemetschek\Allplan\2021\Usr\Local\Prj folder. In a workgroup environment you can find this folder in the central file storage folder in ...\Usr\name\i_o.

Any folder

Include subfolders
Select the folder, e.g. ...\Data\Allplan\Allplan 2021\Prj. This procedure backs up all subfolders and data in this path.
Exclude subfolders
Select the folder. This procedure backs up all data in this folder, but not the folder's subfolders.
