Clipping path - Defining any section with any viewing direction

To define any section with any viewing direction

1. Click Clipping Path (How).
   

   Puede activar Dirección de sección de una de estas formas

   • Barra de menú: Crear Arquitectura General: Cubiertas, Planos, Secciones

   • Paleta: Funciones , Crear, en los siguientes módulos:

   General: Cubiertas, Planos, Secciones

   • Configuración: Arquitectura desplegable Cubiertas y planos.
2. The Create Clipping Path palette opens. Select the Advanced input method and define more parameters for the section.
3. Select the Normal or Custom input option.
   

   You can use this option to define how the viewing direction controls the section display.

   • Normal: The viewing angle is based on the selected elements in plan view.
   • Custom: The view is based on any view, e.g. an isometric view.
4. Enter the outline of the section object in plan as you would a polyline.
5. The way you continue depends on the input option set:
   • Normal: Click a point in the workspace to define the viewing direction. In order to define the line representing the viewing direction, you can find a number of drawing aids in the input options.
     
     Note: The line representing the viewing direction starts with a circle. If you click within this circle, Allplan takes the view from this point (z-direction for plan view or soffit).
     

     Están disponibles las siguientes ayudas de dibujo en las opciones de entrada que le ayudarán a definir la línea para la dirección de la vista:

     Introducir líneas normales: trace las líneas como necesite, no hay limitaciones.

     Introducir con ángulos rectos: todas las líneas se trazan en ángulos rectos (en función al ángulo del sistema definido).

     Introducir usando la captura de puntos: traza líneas en base en base a la captura de ángulo del cursor.

     8 Ángulo de captura del cursor (3-360): define el ángulo de captura del cursor.

   • Custom: Set any view, for example an isometric view (View on the View menu or Viewport toolbar).
     
     Click in the workspace to confirm.
     
     Finally, switch back to plan view.
6. To view the section, click Section Display (How).
   

   Activate Section Display in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: View
   • Toolbar List box on Viewport toolbar

Note: Label and clipping path symbols can be moved independently of each other.

Tip: Section objects created with the Normal input option can be edited using the Stretch Entities tool. This is only possible if you have selected the Section object option in the Create Clipping Path palette.

Tip: Sections can be modified using Properties on the shortcut menu (modification based on initial settings).
