Movie model

You can use this tool to import a movie model in *.FIL format from Allplan 2014 and earlier to a custom NDW file. Allplan imports the 3D model as 3D solids and 3D surfaces including surfaces to a custom NDW file.

To import a movie model from Allplan 2014 or earlier to a custom NDW file

1. Open the File menu, point to Import and click Movie Model.
2. The Open File dialog box opens. Navigate to the folder with the movie model (the current project is the default folder), and select the movie model.

   Allplan imports the 3D model as 3D solids and 3D surfaces to a custom NDW file. If the movie model includes surfaces, they will also be written to this file.

3. If you want to use the 3D model in a project, you can copy it via the clipboard to a drawing file. As an alternative, you can import the custom NDW file to the project in question.

   Note: The surfaces are only visible in the custom NDW file. The project can only handle the 3D model.
