Importing quantities data

You can use the Import Quantities Data tool to re-import quantities data you have exported to and edited in external programs such as Allplan BCM or Microsoft Excel using Export Quantities Data. The modified data are available in xac format. Allplan automatically updates any changes made in an external program.

Note: The first column of the file you want to import must include the Allright component ID; do not change this column.

Important notes on editing XAC files

To import quantities data

1. Select the project with the quantities data you want to import.
2. Open the File menu, point to Import and click Import Quantities Data.
3. Select the path and name of the file and click Open.
   The name of the file is preset.

   Allplan imports the data, automatically updating all elements that have changed.
