Configuring a new role

Starting Actionbar Configurator

To configure a new role

  1. Open the Configure tab and click PlusMinus Create new role.
  2. The Create new role dialog box opens. Click Empty template to configure the role yourself. As an alternative, you can select one of the predefined roles as a template.

    Note: An empty template always includes the Layout Editor task with the Layout Editor and Crop Layout task areas. You can remove these task areas or the Layout Editor task by using the drag-and-drop feature.

  3. Go to the Name role area, select a symbol and enter a name for the new role.
  4. Click Create.

    The Select role area displays the role you just created.
    If you selected an empty template, the Configure tasks area displays the new role with one task and the Layout Editor task. The task already contains the fixed task areas (gray). You can find these fixed task areas in all roles and tasks all the time.
    If you selected a specific template, the Configure tasks area displays the new role with the tasks and task areas of the template selected.
