Exporting a role

Starting Actionbar Configurator

To export roles

• The Configure tab is open in the Actionbar Configuration dialog box. You have just created a new role or modified an existing role.
• The role to be exported must include at least one tool.

1. Open the Manage roles tab in the Actionbar Configuration dialog box.
2. Select the roles you want to export in the My roles area.

   Tip: To select a role, you can also enter the first letter of its name.

   Check the contents of the role in the preview.

3. To rename a role, double-click the role name in the My roles area.
4. You can choose a symbol for the selected role in the drop-down list to the left of the Export button.
5. Click the Export button.
6. Select the folder and file name in the Save As dialog box.
7. Click Save.

   This saves the role as an *.actb file.

   You are back on the Manage roles tab of Actionbar Configurator. The role you just exported is still selected.

   Note: To export several roles in a single operation, select the required roles in the My roles area and continue as described in step 5. Allplan saves the exported roles together in a configuration file in *.actb format.
