Straight Ramp

Task area Stair

You can use this tool to place a straight ramp as a SmartPart in the workspace. You can change the parameters of the ramp when placing it.

To create a straight ramp

  1. Click Straight Ramp (How).

The Straight Ramp palette opens and a preview of the ramp is attached to the crosshairs.

  2. Specify the parameters of the ramp.

Note: The Straight Ramp SmartPart does not depend on planes. The top level of the ramp is at the height 0. When you place the SmartPart, enter its height by selecting Z coordinate or Global point in the dialog line. As an alternative, you can also match the height of the drop-in point from the adjacent component in an isometric viewport. You can also place the ramp in plan and then move it in the z-direction.

  3. Click in the workspace to place the SmartPart.
The Input Options provide a number of tools you can use to place the element.

You can use the palette or the handles to change the properties of SmartParts. If the format properties are not defined in the SmartPart itself, Allplan uses the settings defined in the Properties palette.

  4. Press ESC to finish.

A copy of the SmartPart you selected last is attached to the crosshairs.

  5. Place more SmartParts or press ESC to quit the tool.

Note: Double-click a SmartPart or select Properties on the shortcut menu to modify existing SmartParts using dialog boxes and handles.
