Edit dropdown list / Using the clipboard

You can use this tool to copy the selected elements and put them on the clipboard. Then you can insert them in the current document as often as you need using Paste and Paste to Original Position. The data can also be pasted as a meta-format file into other applications. This command is not available when no element is selected.

To copy elements to the Clipboard

1. Select the elements you want to copy to the Clipboard.
   

   1. To do this	Do this
      Select a single element	Click element.
      Select several elements within a selection window	Click in the workspace, press and hold down the mouse button and open a selection rectangle.
      Select additional elements	Press and hold down the CTRL key and click the additional element.
      Select all elements in the current document and in files open in edit mode	Press CTRL+A.

2. Click Copy (How).
   

   Activate Copy in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Edit

   • Keyboard: CTRL+C

   • Title bar: Quick Access Toolbar Edit
3. Use Paste or Paste to Original Position to insert the elements on the Clipboard into the current file as often as you need. You can also switch to a different file prior to inserting.
