Update SmartPart

Task area SmartParts

You can use this tool to update a SmartPart based on the current parameters.

Note: You can use Update SmartPart if you have edited a SmartPart using Resize and you are not satisfied with the result.

To update a SmartPart

1. Click Update SmartPart (How).
   

   Activate Update SmartPart in one of the following ways

   • Actionbar:Role Draft Task User-Defined Objects Task area SmartParts

   • Menu bar: Change Bonus Tools SmartParts

   • Palette: Tools Change area in the following module(s):

   SmartParts

2. Click the SmartPart.

   The SmartPart is created again based on the parameters currently saved.

   If the current drawing file includes copies of the changed SmartPart, the program displays these copies in the selection color, asking whether you want to update these copies too:
   Would you like to update identical SmartParts?

3. You have the following options:
   • Click Show identical ones to get a close-up view of all SmartParts that are identical.
   • Click Yes to apply the changes to all copies.
   • Click No to leave the copies as they are, thus creating a variant of the SmartPart.
