Carpet Mounting Strips

You can use this tool to place mounting strips within a placing polygon. Recesses can be taken into account.
Allplan automatically places mounting strips on the BA_B_MST layer. When creating layouts for checking purposes, you can disable this layer in layout editor.
To place reinforcement mounting strips for the carpet
- Click
Carpet Mounting Strips (How). - Enter the or click Copy in the input options to use an existing shell.
- If you work in Reinforce with 3D model mode and you have not created the outline polygon in an existing view, you need to select an existing view to which you want to add the mounting strips.
Note: If views are not defined, you cannot create carpet mounting strips.
- Modify the outline polygon using the tools on the context toolbar and define the location of the placement in space so as to establish the relationship (offset) between the defined spatial plane and the placement (with Reinforce with 3D model only).
- Click OK to confirm the settings.
- Set the placement parameters for the carpet mounting strips.
- Select the dimension line type in the list box at the top of the palette, specify the dimension line parameters for the Dimension line type or the text parameters and format properties of the for the Mark symbols type, define the in the input options and place the dimension line or the mark number.

Skip dimensioning by pressing ESC. - Select the Automatic mark number option in the input options if the program is to create the mark number at the beginning or end of the label depending on the drop-in point specified. In addition, define the
Anchor point of the label. - Specify the label parameters, place the label of the carpet mounting strips (you can define the text angle in advance) and create the leader manually.

Skip labeling by pressing ESC. - When you have configured Allplan to create a layer symbol (
Options, Reinforcement - Label page) and you have not yet placed this symbol along with the label, you can now select a Layer symbol in Leader area of the palette and click the drop-in point or a bar segment.
