Task area Terrain Model

You can use the tools in the Terrain Model task area to edit and model terrain data in three-dimensional space. Survey points are entered or can be imported if available in digital form.

• The terrain is generated using a grid consisting of three-dimensional triangular surfaces. Special areas (e.g., building plots) can be defined in this grid and cut out later during the edit phase.
• The terrain can be converted to a 3D solid for processing with the tools in the Modeling task. It can then be converted back to a DTM.
• You can define a freeform profile section through the terrain and place this as a graphical extract in the workspace.
• Together with the tools in the Site Plan task area, you can also define routes and streets in the terrain.
