Task area Stair

You can use the tools in the Stair task area to automatically design not only standard stairs but also free-form stairs. A wizard provides additional support for the main stair types. By using the Stair Modeler, you can design (variants of) sophisticated and complex stairs quickly and easily.

Together with the information for the height and rise/run ratio, Allplan designs the entire stair based on the outline. During the design phase, any changes you make to the parameters are implemented interactively thus ensuring that you can check the result in all the viewports.

All the components – stair tread and risers, carriage and stringers, handrail and even the user-definable components – can be defined on an individual basis. If required, every component can be assigned its own pen, line type and color.
The six different skew methods ensure that you will quickly arrive at the most suitable stair for your outline. Even then, you can still change the angle of each step.

Stairs, once designed, can be saved as symbols for retrieval whenever required. And even the multiple instances of stairs retrieved and placed in this manner can be modified in their entirety.
