Modifying the smart symbol’s reference point

To modify the reference point of a foil

1. Click Modify Smart Symbol (How).
   

   Activate Modify Smart Symbol in one of the following ways

   • Actionbar:Role Draft Task User-Defined Objects Task area Smart Symbols

   • Menu bar: Change Bonus Tools Smart Symbols

   • Palette: Tools Change area in the following module(s):

   Smart Symbols

2. Click an instance of the smart symbol whose reference point you want to change.
3. Open the Definition of smart symbol node in the Modify Smart Symbol dialog box and click the coordinates displayed beside Reference point.

   A symbol indicates the existing reference point of the smart symbol.

4. Click the new reference point of the smart symbol.

   The reference points of all the foils are initialized and changed.

5. If you want to save the modified smart symbol, select the Save to option and enter a name for the smart symbol and specify the folder.
   If you do not change the Smart symbol name, Allplan will overwrite the original smart symbol.
6. Click OK to apply the settings.
