Resize 3D Entities

Task area Edit + 3D Objects

You can use this tool to resize 3D entities either by specifying the ratio between two lines or specifying a resizing factor and a direction.

To resize 3D entities by specifying a resizing factor and direction

1. Click Resize 3D Entities (How).
   

   Activate Resize 3D Entities in one of the following ways

   • Actionbar:Task area Edit
   • Actionbar:Role Draft Task Modeling Task area 3D Objects

   • Menu bar: Change Bonus Tools 3D Modeling

   • Palette: Tools Change area in the following module(s):

   3D Modeling

2. Select the elements you want to resize.
3. Place a fixed point. Click either a corner or an end point on a solid.
4. You can enter the information required for the resize operation in two ways:
   • Either
     enter the start and end point of the reference line
     and then the start and end point of the destination line.

     

     (A) Fixed point
     (1) 1. point of reference line
     (2) 2. point of reference line
     (3) 1. point of destination line
     (4) 2. point of destination line

   • Or (to resize based on a resizing factor)
     enter the resizing factor,
     and then the resizing direction by entering two points.
