Exporting layouts as DXF/DWG/DGN files

To export a layout window or layout section

1. In the Options, select the Advanced Settings tab.
2. In the Explode compounds area, select the Layouts / XRef files or Convert XRef to smart symbol option:
   • Layouts / XRef files: all elements are resolved and cut correctly.
   • Convert XRef to smart symbol: all elements are resolved, cut correctly and combined in a smart symbol.

Note: Regardless of the option you select, the amount of data to be transferred increases significantly as all elements are resolved.
The setting in the Transfer mode area is irrelevant.
